About Us

Play Start is a playgroup for pre-school children where every child is encouraged to develop social, physical and learning skills.

Sessions last 2½ hours from 9.30am and include a range of activities. We offer an optional lunch club from 12-12.30pm. To find out more visit our Typical Session page.

Accreditation

Play Start is an Ofsted registered organisation. Our sessions are planned in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage Curriculum.

Play Start is also registered with the Pre-School Learning Alliance and follows their policies and guidelines on good practice.

Charitable status

Play Start is a registered charity and as such we welcome any donations or help with fundraising activities. Funds raised help us to buy equipment and meet running costs.

Committee

Play Start is run by committee. Members are made up from parents and staff who have volunteered to support the group. The committee meets once a month during term time. Any suggestions and feedback are welcome.

Staff

All our staff are experienced and are committed to providing a nurturing environment. They are all regularly CRB (Criminal Records Bureau) checked and attend mandatory training. A qualified supervisor leads each session. To find out more visit our Staff page.
